As the final part of our capstone project, we hosted a panel with guest speakers that were all women in underrepresented fields.  Through this panel, we were looking to educate underclassmen about the obstacles that women face in the workplace, especially in STEM and business careers. We had two women in engineering careers and three women in business careers. Each of us reached out to many women in engineering and business careers, and asked them to join us for an information session in the drama studio. We invited four classes to listen and ask questions to these women about their obstacles in the workplace and how they have overcome them. Overall, the panel was very successful. We had each guest introduce themselves and answer the question, "what is it like being a woman in an underrepresented field?" Then, the students had a chance to ask the panelists questions. The questions that the students asked were very insightful and lead to interesting conversations.

The panel was held at our school on May 12th, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
